The battle for the leadership of directors guild of
Nigeria (DGN) has ended as a winner has emerged! Actor and movie producer, Fred Amata, as
emerged the president of the Director’s Guild of
Nigeria. The election took place in Asaba, Delta state this
afternoon. The position had been occupied by Andy Amenechi,
before Fred joined the race to battle popular
director cum producer, Lancelot Imasuen
and Dickson Iroegbu winning in the end. Amata aspired for the position alongside Fidelix
Duker in 2007. Duker eventually won the contest. In
2011, Amata contested again with Andy Amanechi,
who also defeated him and succeeded Bond
Emeruwa. This is the third time he will be contesting
for this post.
